Well, it looked like no song for tonight and then this came out of somewhere... moments ago; went into the machine and... one take, Kabam!!! Kabam!!! God sure is fun, and... what a dancer!!!
I know how that works, personal experience from my long lost days of writing. It was an amazing time of very little sleep and 3 day workweeks where I just made barely enough to survive. My mind was already on the next short story when I wasn't done with the one I was working on. They kinda wrote themselves. There's automatic writing and automatic typing. I wonder who really wrote 'em? Me or Donn or Abraxas?
Now why did the first story come out with the major flaw (Which I will not identify.) that it did? Was it a test of my dedication? WELL, I AIN'T GONNA FIX IT; DAMMIT! THE PERFECT VERSION IS PROBABLY IN THE AKASHIC LIBRARY, AND THIS PLANET AIN'T WORTH THE EFFORT O' BOILIN' A POT O' WATER!
Besides, it took almost 20 back and forths to my was gonna be publisher before he caught it. I'm glad Pat (Nelson Childs) killed his company before it did get published. It was so much work, and with a job that turned full time after a year with a bit of O/T, it was brutal just to write for the sake of writing; not to mention PAT DIDN'T WANT COMMON WEALTH SPELLING! Having a U.S. word processor where I had to type in everything twice didn't help, either; not to mention I'm not 100% on original Commonwealth spelling. I probably write like a Canadian, which is marginally corrupted.
Absolute MASTERPIECE!
Great! Glad you like it. The whole thing got written and recorded in a hour, which kinds blew my mind.
