This is a true story, hard as that may be to believe, BUT... I have lived an interesting life and much that has happened is far more unbelievable than this. I'm on the other side now, that's the past.
That is high praise and I think their styles are markedly similar if one can even parse such a thing when they are entirely different animals.
What I like is how casual he is about it. He seems to purposely do things out of alignment sometimes just to see if anyone is paying attention, and of course, there is the de riquer humility that is required with anyone of ability who knows where it comes from.
I had the first late-night jazz show of any kind on Maui... Sunday nights for 3 hours. I forget what it was called; A Taste of Jazz with Les Williams or something like that on KMVI. I only did laid back; Joe Sample, early Miles and lots of the players from further back.
My wife and I were on Maui in 1988. My lasting memory is of that holiday is snorkeling on Punalau Beach. The wind and current were tretcherous and I before I new it I was way too far from the beach. I'm not a great swimmer and for a few minutes I honestly thought I was going to be swept away and perish. I swam with all my might and experienced true gratitude when I finally crawled onto terra firma... : )
This is really a fantastic song. I never thought that Jazz could be enjoyed! This music of yours is truly educational... May you never stop doing this. Thanks!
Vikings in Minnesota . Cows and cheeseheads in Wisconsin 😅

The gentle sex strikes again, huh? Then again, ya dinna wanna git on the wrang. . .uh, wrong side of a NOSE.
When I was a teenager I had every one of the Dave Brubeck quartet's albums.
I think Naudo plays Take Five better than Paul Desmond did on sax...

Naudo has a relaxed vibe that sets me in a good mood. I started listening just now and hit on this one:
