I often mention Tantra; I’ve never engaged in any formal tantric practices that have to do with physical love, but I know from… my… own… experience… that intercourse with The Divine is every bit as erotic and arousing (after a fashion) as the most intense physical and emotional passions. That is why The Song of Solomon, The Rubaiyat and so many Sufi and other spiritual traditions paint the interaction with the imagery that you see there. So… this is about God awakening within me and singing to me, just as I sing to God in so many of my songs.
